OK, with the purchase of a new house my budget for a 911 has shrunk to £5K, so thats the end of that car then

Off today to test drive a car & if any good will be buying it. I wanted something that was reliable, a little sporty, still look modernish & not too big, as missus wouldn't drive it otherwise. Rep points for person who guesses the correct car.

No longer made

I think the 'clues' can be applied to about 20,000 cars. Is it a UK/European/Japanese model?

My guess VW Corrado.

The market is a funny thing. Cars that were (relatively) low volume either get cult status, or undeservedly loose value.

Second guess V5 Golf. Can't remember the model. Synchro?

By the way, is Dave going to the new dealer 'Wickes' to look at the car?

I think they stopped the production of the corrado well before 2000. It was my absolute favourite years ago.

First introduced in 1997 ....stopped being made in 2001. Comes in 1.4 or 1.7, with 1.6 added later. Car I'm looking at is 2000 W reg with 32000 miles for £4,500. None of above are right.

Not Japanese. Is hatchback.
