I need to get a replacement Birth Certificate (lost original)........anyone obtained a replacement off the net? If so which company did you use/recommend.

Try the registrar - you ought to be able to get a copy from there. Not sure if you can do it on the net tho.

I'm pretty sure it has to come from the registry office where your origional birth certificate is lodged.

Not sure how much proof you will need of who you are.

It would be easier if you where dead but thats a bit extreme

THE GENERAL RECORDS OFFICE . I THINK THEY ARE IN LIVERPOOL IF IT IS STRAIGHT FORWARD YOU CAN PAY A BIT EXTRA AND GET IT WITHIN ABOUT THREE DAYS.

yeah what woody says lol, We put off our intention interview at the reg office because it was supposed to take weeks for OHs cert to come, it was here within a week lol

I would contact your local council in the first instance, they will be able to point you in the right direction, Which is normaly the Register Office.

Have you tried UK Certificates they sell replacement Birth Certificates for about 19 quid, though there are other companies such as BMD Certificates etc
