That one passed me by a bit and I've already had several cigarettes this morning!

Do we have many smokers here and is anyone tempted to give up?

Yep I smoke 20 a day, gave up for 3 months cold turkey then started again. (long story)
Tried 3 times since and am now going to try hypnotherapy

Tried Zyban 'bout a year ago - made me very grumpy

Niquitin lozenges are excellent + really work well ................. if you have the will power

As I said, gave up a year ago. There then followed the worst week of my life (even the most hardened anti-smoking friends suggesting I should smoke, I was that tetchy!).

Was on the nicotine gum for nearly 6 months - I loved it! Now I just chew ordinary gum, which I can't seem to give up!

i have smoked since i was 13.......... stopped a good few years ago for about 6 weeks.had a crisis......started again.have been on twenty a day since then, until the smoking in public places ban came in last March. also stopped smoking in the house at around the same time so that helps..........on about ten a day now and continually playing with the idea of stopping . but........... i enjoy a ciggie!
and yes i chew gum continually if i cant smoke! lol

I HAVE TRIED TO GIVE UP SEVERAL TIMES, WITHOUT SUCCESS.
LAST TIME I TRIED, I THOUGHT I WILL ONLY SMOKE AFTER MEALS, BUT I ENDED UP
HAVING FIFTY MEALS A DAY

Gave up several years ago and never been tempted to start again.

Good luck to anyone trying to give up.......it maybe difficult but worth it
