Sat Nav

I am considering buying a Sat Nav for my wife (her sense of direction is non-existant) and I have narrowed the field to either the Garmin nuvi 310 or the Tom Tom 310. Anyone out there had experience of these units?

Re: Sat Nav

I've only ever used Tom Tom on a PDA, but it was excellent. Note PDA's allow you to download Speed camera locations for free off the web. Not sure if the others do that

Re: Sat Nav

I have a TomTom Go 700 and had a classic one before (which my brother now has) cant speak highly enough about them, thye have a few issues if surrounded by tall buildings, but thats true of any satellite navigation system not jsut tomtom.

Well worth the money, and if you are going abroad check out Dixons duty free shops, cost me 294 quid when they were nearer 400 elsewhere !

Re: Sat Nav

Wife uses the Tom Tom 310 & she is very happy with it. Don't ask me anything about it though, it's all to complicated for me

Re: Sat Nav

I have a few friends that all use the TomTom's and all of them seem very happy with them overall. As has been mentioned you can sometimes loose reception in areas with lots of tall buildings but that is the same with all makes.
