A small anniversary
Being that it's the 1st May, today marks the beginning of my second year as a contributing photographer to WireImage / Getty Images. In the past tweleve months, I've had over 600 shots licensed via WireImage alone... not bad when you consider that I've only got 1784 photos on file with them.
For anyone whose ever toyed with the idea of getting on board with an editorial agency I'd say give it a go... if your work is strong enough, most agencies will at least discuss coverage options with you, even if they aleady have photographers in your area. |

Cheers guys; it'll be interesting to see how the coming year compares to my inaugural one. That said, I've got some projects in the pipeline whereby I'm looking to create working partnerships with several bodies that should result in several exclusives that will be licensed through WI / Getty.
I've come to realise that the key to getting good agency sales is having completely unique material and, more often than not, you have to create the opportunities for this rather than sit back and wait for them to happen. Carpe diem! etc  |
