Yes, thanks for that seasonal touch.

Falling snow? Should it be moving?

Re: Snowy Pixalo Logo

I just created a couple of blank layers and used a white brush. Then after I had painted the rough outlines of the snow I filled in the centre and then added the lighter blue around the edges using the airbrush tool. Then by altering the order of the layers and using the eraser tool I removed the snow from areas that I didn’t want it and it left the balls and text looking like it was in the middle of the snow. In total there was 6 layers added for the settled snow and two more for the falling snow. These are in addition to the many layers that are present in the ‘standard Pixalo logo’

Hopefully that helps but shout if you need more detail.

Re: Snowy Pixalo Logo

I was kinda hoping for a plugin or action

My artist skills have been non-existant since high school after my art teacher destroyed my confidence by ripping me a new ******** in front of the whole class because I drew a joystick and labled it "Joystick". We'll ignore the fact he repeatedly referred to it as a "Gearstick" tho.

nice job btw.

Re: Snowy Pixalo Logo

Nice to see it all looking festive. Hope we are going to get some snow this year just to give me a shot at some wintry photos. It's as rare as gnats teeth in the area I live so snow shots are generally a no-no.

The forecasters claim we are in for a very cold winter so I have some hope :o)

Cheers,
Rob
