some of you may remember my first shots of paula in the early stages of pregnancy
completely out my zone!
i was planning on doing more shots as she progressed, she is 5 months pregnant at the moment,
today she told me that the baby has hydrocephalus, and next week she is having to go in to be induced, unfortunately the baby is not going to survive.
I did ask her if she wanted the images taken down but she says leave them as its a reminder that this baby was indeed part of her life if even for a short time.
i know how gutted i am feeling about it, as she is one of my best friends, so she and her partner must be feeling in hell.

I can only offer a shoulder to her as i dont the know the words

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's tragic situation and I send her, though you, my sincere sympathies at this difficult time. As one who has gone through the pain of losing a child, a miscarriage in our case and not as far into the pregnancy as your dear friend, I know only the devastation we felt at that time and the fact this baby was 5 months old will make this even more so.

Fi, you're a good friend and being there is all your friend asks of you, not words that fast become platitudes when there really is nothing that can be said. The value of good friends to lean on can never be over-valued.

As you said, no words can take away the pain they will be feeling, the only thing you can do is to be there for them when they need a shoulder or someone to talk to. I wish you all the strength you will need to get through it.

That is a terrible feeling loosing an unborn child, we know the feeling, my wife and I tried a few times to have another, and my wife had 2 miscarriages before having our daughter. So WE really know the feeling and its a horrible, terrible feeling, but I tried to keep her occupied and tried to keep her mind busy, let her grief at first but try to keep her busy or she might go into a depression.
so maybe you as a friend can help her by keeping her busy. make her assimilate as quick as possible.
lucky she has you as a friend.
I really sympathize with her sorrow.
