In the staff room...
Well - it arrived today - my NEW light tent...it was delivered to work, and the staff watched intently as it burst into life as a 3' square tent which refused to be returned to its original circular shape (and fit into it's 12" round bag...)
Following a telephone missive from my beloved, that I was "not to worry " - ie he "would sort it out", four teachers came to my rescue and wrestled the tent to the ground (one had experience of a toddlers beach refuge). Safely despatched to its' bag (which promptly burst), I realised that instructions were not included. And I also have a selection of colourful backdrops for the light tent..which must go somewhere.. This is not directly related to photography... as at least five teachers are now (vaguely ) interested in the missing instructions... nellie (and friends) |

Re: In the staff room...
![]() I have heard similar stories about these things. The secret is to get two muscular trapeze artists to wrestle it into submission whilst simultaneously securing it with a spare length of anchor chain from the Titanic. Alternatively put a lamp inside it and swear you saw something similar on Grand Designs. ![]() |

I have one!. Gave up trying to fold it to fit into the bag and I'm a qualified engineer.

![]() * Or the Still Life of your choice. ** Desk lamps, flashguns, a small thermo-nuclear device or whatever you like, as long as the colour temperature*** of all the light sources is the same. *** You have to use the same sort of bulb in each lamp. If you have a tungsten bulb on one side of the light tent and a halogen or fluorescent lamp on the other, you'll never get the colour balance right across the whole of the image and will have to resort to **** **** Mono. ![]()
