Toys for the boys - help please!
Most of you boys out there have a bit of a thing about gadgets so hopefully you might be able to help.
Is there such a thing a a portable cd player/radio...and tape if at all possible....that will work through being plugged into a cigarette lighter? |

Probably, tho' you'd be better off with a mains portable connected to an invertor (£25ish) that converts 12v->240v. Then you can use the portable anywhere and when you're away for the day charge your camera batteries with the mains charger!

I have to agree with Markulous. Just pick up a stereo with those functions and then get a DC to AC inverter.
If you go this route though, make sure you check the amperage on the stereo before buying the inverter, as they're available in different amp. ratings. And typically, the more amps it's rated for, the more expensive it is. |

why dont you get them an Ipod, they have a base you connect to the cigarette lighter so it will charge and also to transmit it to your car radio, I have one its pretty cool !!

Yep, and it would probably be cheaper. Not to mention, if he's the tinkerer-type, he'll enjoy putting it in himself.
