To all my Pixalo friends over the ocean I am thinking of you. I have been watching the news the last two days and seeing all that is happening over there. All this stuff has got to stop. I just can't understand how someone would want/could do such a terrible thing.

Yes, I do believe that it has alot to do with our involvement in Iraq. How does doing something like what they are doing over there and what they did to the Trade Towers help them? If we were all to pull out of Iraq what then would happen? You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My perception, rightly or wrongly, is that British Intell has all ways been and is the best. Lets hope so, we really need them to be the best

Remember the draconian knee jerk instigation of laws, the briefing the media, the "War On Terror" appelation?

This is a much calmer aftermath than the other attacks. The only peeps trying to get het up are the media. With their yellow and black warning banners in the background screens and TERROR ALERT in big bold writing.

The goverment themselves have been very composed about it - so much so even the media themselves have commented on how calm things are from Whitehall.

Looks to me like they are thinking before reacting rather than simply reacting.

Instead of describing it as a "war on terror", they are descibing it as criminal activity. How you present the event goes a long way to guiding how it's perceived. This perception has an impact on how the minorities of our country are feeling day to day. I.E. less alienated. And it's undoubtably true that it's these very minorities that we need help from identifying those terrorists.

It's not a cure, but it's a step in the right direction.
