Outside of Photography?

Just wondering what other hobbies everyone has. What else do you enjoy?

Other than, music, movies, driving, friends/ family/ sig other in my daily life...
I teach American History so I read alot of historical based books. I LOVE (cannot stress enough) Egyptology and Archaeology. I think I might be the board's resident nerd :P
Currently I'm trying to figure out when I can take a vacation to Egypt (work it around my work schedule). Egypt, Ireland and Italy are my 'must see' destinations

Website design and codeing seems to take up a lot of my time recently as I maintain and develop this site plus I am also learning German.

Things that give me enjoyment though are walking/hiking in the Alps, luckily I live within 30 mins train ride of the mountains so they are right on my doorstep and obviously I usually take my camera with me

I also enjoy cycling through the forrests in the areas around the town were I live and like you, I also enjoy a book or two in the evenings. Good food and good company can never be overlooked either.

This website takes up way too much of my time

When I did have time it used to be a bit of property development, home cinema stuff, hi fi stuff, rc cars, built a rc helicopter but too scared to fly it, motorbikes ....list goes on ...I'll have a dabble at most things

I like to read.....lots! But I am also treasurer for a greyhound/lurcher/whippet rescue and that takes up a lot of my time as well.

okies
i love reading and walking and exploring........ but my biggest passion outside of photography is playing darts.... i play for the Central Scotland County team as well as a local team in our local british Legion....... this weekend im off to haggerston for weekend of darts then the following weekend its Bannockburn then Inverness in January and Aberdeen in December

Travelling in Scotland in the winter!!! I thought people in Scotland all slept from the end of Novemberb to mid March

unfortunately we gotta travel to get there although i have to say i would like to get my hands on the person who picked inverness in december! Will have to leave here around 6.30ish am to get there and be ready to play for 10.30......... arghhhhhhhhhh

lolol tis ok Sparhawk, i dont do the sun.... i get heatstroke in this country! i just dont fancy driving thru blizzards etc.. enoy tenerife and mind and take LOTs of photos

I always enjoy Tenerife {go twice a year for 2 or 3 weeks each time to the north west part} There is a lot more contrast in that part and now I have a reasonable camera {and plenty of memory cards} I am looking forward to taking a lot of photos of the area while I am there. I hope that I will get some fair shots and look forward to showing some of them on here to see {from the experts on this site} what is ok and what is rubbish {knowing my luck more of the latter than the former

}
I dont blame you for not wanting to drive through blizzards {but then again you could get some great shots

}

Blizzards on the A9 can certainly be a bit disconcerting.

Do tend to Easyjet nowadays tho.

Badminton is my main interest, gym twice a week, practice once a week and play in several leagues and for Middlesex County Vets. Also look after the club website.

Otherwise, music, hi-fi, reading (history/ pop science). Used to cook loads too but have kinda got out of the habit.
