Re: What's in your bag?
Depends what I'm doing, when I'm out shooting bugs I take a Kata W-92 waist pack, generally carry the camera with 180mm macro mounted.
In the bag ...

Re: What's in your bag?
Right, I've just dug out my old kit. In a cupboard somewhere, 35mm slide copier, various flashguns, leads, and slave units. So many other odds and sods, I can't remember what else is there.
35mm kit: Miranda shoulder bag. About 450x230x220mm deep. Olympus OM2 SP with 28-70 Tamron macro f3.5-4.5 lens and motor drive. Tamron 80-210mm f3.8-4.0 lens. Tamron x2 converter, various lens/body caps, Cokin filter holder, two lens hoods, Cullman CX35 flash with dedicated Olympus module, Olympus dedicated flash extension lead. Olympus 'Trip' 35 compact. Various Cokin filters. Kodak Ektachrome Elite 200, Ektar 25, Kodacolour 200, Konica 100 and Agfacolour Optima 200 films. Various spare batteries and film boxes. Lens cleaning tissues, Electronic remote shutter release, cable release. This kit has been plagerised for stuff to use with my video camera. Medium format kit: Bronica 'Safari' aluminium case 460x340x170deep. Rollicord 5b, Bronica ETRS with 75mm f2.8 Zenzanon lens, Quick focus lever, speedgrip, AE2 metering prism finder and waist level finder. Three 120 backs, Standard and Pro lenshoods, various lens and body caps, film spools. 10 Ilford FP4 125 ISO films, Weston Master 5 exposure meter. Slik 88 tripod. Unbranded monopod (but uses same leg locks as Manfrotto). After getting fed up with lugging that lot around, after quite some time of no photgraphic activity: Lowepro compact case with Nikon coolpix 885 - spare battery-lens brush-4 memory cards. Much easier to transport! After getting hooked again, Lowepro Rezo 140 bag containing Nikon D70s, lens hood, 6 x 1 gig and 1 x 2 gig memory cards, lens cleaning brush, LCD protector. Still travelling light. Video kit Canon MVX3I with 3 batteries, Rode Vidoemic with windjammer, Sony MDR-V300 headphones, 6 Sony mini DV tapes, IR remote control, lens cleaning brush and cloth, stickey labels. Various Colin filters, mini sprit level, SD card, notebook, pens, mini Maglite torch, A4 paper for WB, Olympus digital voice recorder.

Re: What's in your bag?
I have a Lowepro Mini Trekker AW and generally it contains:
- Canon 20D body with - Canon 28-70mm f2.8 L series attached - Canon 100-400mm IS L series - Canon 17-40mm f4 L series - Canon 100mm f2.8 macro USM - Canon 50mm f1.8 - Canon 550EX flash unit - Canon EF 1.4x teleconverter - Canon EF 2x teleconverter - Spare Batteries for camera and flash - Polarising and ND filters - Epson P2000 portable storage and viewer Having said that, I don't cart the whole lot with me on every shoot. I will leave behind stuff I am not going to use as it would be stupid to carry such heavy equipment around if I don't need it. Especially as I will also have my Sherpa Pro tripod with me but as that is carbon fibre, it isn't too heavy. The Gitzo 3-way head ways more but I am planning to get a decent Ballhead to replace that. If I know I'll be doing a bit of macro work, I'll have my Canon MR14-EX ringflash and if I want some top quality distance shots I am likely to take my Canon 300mm f4 IS L series lens as that produces stunning images. Like most people, I have more kit than I would ever likely need one shooting event. Even when i went on holiday to Florida, I only took the 28-70mm and the 100-400mm lenses. With the airlines being so security conscious I didn't want to take my backpack with me as it was larger than they were accepting as hand luggage and I am NOT having them throw several thousand pounds of equipment in the hold! The Mini Trekker really is an excellent bag: holds more than it looks from the outside! Cheers, Rob
