Who is your favourite actor?
Following on from the diatribe about my avatars who is your favourite actor. Who would you go to the cinema to watch because of the actor and not the film? Bearing in mind that the current crop of "actors" are invariably in front of a green screen I'd have to say Matt Damon. His performances in a range of films have been excellent.

Cinema?
 Ah, you mean 'moving pictures'. Never been sure about it since these 'talkies' became fashionable - can't beat Chaplin, Keaton and Laurel & Hardy.If I had to choose someone from more recent times it would have to be an actress - Katherine Hepburn - because not only was she amazingly versatile in the roles she played, but she was also anti-establishment and didn't have an inflated ego. For example, she turned down the role of Scarlet O'Hara in Gone With The Wind because she didn't think she was attractive enough. |

 .Not only just the movies he does, but also the documentaries he narrates. He is one of the best narrators in the business today (imho). |

The same as your Avatar Stepheno its great stuff & the guy who wrote the Bourne series also has a series of books based on the same kinda thing Author Robert Ludlum, dont know if you knew that or not but anyway its great stuff.

Tom Hanks, a great performer who only surrounds himself with quality film makers, I'll watch anything he's involved with (either in front of, or behind the camera)...
...and to a lesser extent these days Al Pacino, nobody will deny his class as an actor over the years but his insistence to start shouting in every movie is starting to grate on me.  (and while I'm thinking about annoying things actors do, why has Tom Cruise had to have a "running" scene in every film he's done since The Firm? )
