Words of Wisdom, my dad bless him

When I got my fandabbydosey flash last weekend my dad couldnt help but want a look to see if I had attached it correctly and do the usual dad thing when I was having problems with it joining the camera.

Best line yet was when I said I use it in Manual mode

He said ' why?, if you put it in auto it does it for you'

That's where i've been going wrong!!!! All this time I have put my camera to auto, put in the battery and memory card and stood back thinking it would nip off, find a great scene, take the photo and come back home. I take it it's back to the instruction book for me

I prefer Manual but somehow I always select Reverse by mistake.
