Lets face it, we havn't won a major trophy in 60 years, and that was when footballers were men and not some ponsey overpaid ego.
It would be nice for our footballers to join the rest of our sporting heroes in actually achieving something but I really can't see it.

Actually I couldn't agree more with Gary's words, the Brits are a football mad nation and always talk a good game, but it has been too long since they won a major comp like the world cup.

to be honest I don't care who wins as long as it's a good clean fight

I actually would like to see England doing well but couldn't stand the smugness of the pundits if you were to win it. I wish they could see beyond Rooney and Beckham and admit there are other nations with good teams.

Their hypocrisy also really ticks me off. Congratulating Gerrard for the dive last week, saying he did the right thing, and then criticising others for exactly the same thing.
