Aaarrrggghhh...!
was out on sinday and took some pics - then when I arrived back home and making a mad dash to the house (it was puring down!) I dropped my camera - and my new sigma f1.4 lens is broke...
![]() it doesn't want to focus anymore (even in manual mode) - but the glass is ok.... would it be fixable..? feasible..? will be looking to buy a new lens in a few weeks when i get paid...now, someone did have a sigma f2.8 20-70mm or simular for sale on here...

That is bad news. I assumed that you said "oh bother" when it happened or words to that effect
. If you do not have special camera insurance have ave you checked you household insurance to see if it is covered ?. |

yeah, I need to check the house insurance to see if it covers accidental damage...iirc then it doesn't....need to get it sorted tho..!

Ouch Thats a bad do and very unlucky. I would check your camera over properly too using a different lens to make sure everything is still working fine. You may be lucky with your home insurance, accidental damage may cover it.
I am sure it can be repaired, its likely that the gearing mech inside that alteres the AF has been damaged or knocked out of alignment. It will obviously have to go back to Sigma but give them a call and ask for a quote, they are usually pretty good with stuff like that and have a reasonable turnaround time. Good luck
