acrylic prints/framing

i've done some research and i know that even at jessops i can have my prints framed in acrylic frames. but i have to ask - i'm looking for some professional services for acrylic prints. do you know any company that specialize in it? and i'm looking for size up to 40x40 inches. i found few websites in uk but website even professionally looking is not telling me if they really do it well. so if you have used someone to print and frame your photos in acrylic frames let me know.

thank you for any help.

Re: acrylic prints/framing

Frames are the traditional ways to store pictures and these days a lot of frames manufacturers and providers are there in the market providing high quality frames at affordable cost. These are also allowing the people to buy these frames online so you can get them easily yourself by searching on the internet.

Re: acrylic prints/framing

I have not had any acrylic experience, but i would have thought that any good lab would offer this service.

Here is one

Photo Acrylic Prints | Photo onto Acrylic | Acrylic Printing - PhotoBox

The quality of the product, which I think is the nub of your question, much like canvas printing, is a lottery. You are right to ask for recommendations, but you will know that any opinion is subjective, so a good review from person 'A' might not match your requirements. I remember you getting burnt with your canvas experience.

Maybe the best way is to try some smaller prints first and send the same image to two or three labs to see which one you prefer. The Photobox one uses 6mm acrylic. Others might be different.

Re: acrylic prints/framing

there are 2 types of Acylic.

One and not so good is the Acrylic sandwich where you have a standard print inbetween 2 pieces of acrylic.

Dunns Pro lab do all sizes.

the best looking are images printed to substrate. Try Creative acrylics in north birmingham. top quality.

Thing to look out for with printing to acrylic is a lot of companies do not print white ink and add paper backing. which is pointless. you may as well go for the sandwich.

Creative Acrylics prints all colours to substrait. when the light hits these they look stunning.

Creative Acrylics – Bringing Your Pictures to Life not the cheapest but defo one of the best... and you can sell at 3 times the cost.. looks amazing.
