Re: Ah , the pleasure of seeing your Photo printed
Just printed a shot I took a couple of weeks ago. I like you rarely print but this was worth the effort as a gift for my father in law, framed an' all. He no doubt has it in his study sat in pride of place as the subject is his own Rolls Royce that was used at his daughters wedding along with a vintage Rolls and my German motorway muncher.
![]() I must get some more photography time in and get them printed. |

Horrible what digital has done to us, isn't it? (although I still have plenty of 35mm to develop)

Re: Ah , the pleasure of seeing your Photo printed
Have to say I get alot of pleasure printing off and mounting shots for people from the web site. Although we've only got two of mine framed at home, a mono of my son & 1 of the dogs on the beach. I tend to buy paintings & the walls are a bit full.

Re: Ah , the pleasure of seeing your Photo printed
I must admit that when I used my pre digital camera I would get my films printed then look at them for the first couple of days {to decide what ones I liked} they would then end up in a drawer or cupboard never to see the light of day for years.Yet since I have gone to digital and have instant viewing on the PC i now tend to look far more at the photos I have.
i wonder is this just lazyness on my part or the fact that after so many years of just having either 6x4 or 7x5 prints and now all my photos can be "screen size" giving me a much clearer photo to evaluate?? Also since I have been on this format I have not {as yet} printed one photo but I believe the reason for that is that seeing the photo screen size I am a lot more critical of my work and as yet have not seen anything worth while doing as a print Regards Sparhawk |

Re: Ah , the pleasure of seeing your Photo printed
Careful Dave thew bug will catch you. lol
The magic is seeing your image in print, weather it be in a Magazine or just in print for comp. So we are going to have some competition at CCC. I am entering for the first time for a few years. |

Re: Ah , the pleasure of seeing your Photo printed
Let the battle commence
Must admit it's quite hard to choose shots for the Comp .... especially when there is the chance your 3 shots might be wittled down to 2 , if too many entrants. You sit there trying to suss which is better ...shot #2 or shot #3 ![]()

Re: Ah , the pleasure of seeing your Photo printed
Give it 3 years you will then try and suss what the judge likes more.
The first judge is one of the best close-up street portrait togs and loves nudes and landscapes. Hates Venice and nature lol. |
