Another big fireworks display at Castle Hill
Hi all,
Well, the previous fireworks display was poor (Kirklees Council, are you listening?). But, Black Cat fireworks are putting on another tonight that looks like it will be a good one. Here's the details: http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/events/ev...0550&evID=2789 Here is a photo of Castle Hill I took a while back (just to turn this back towards photography ):http://homepage.ntlworld.com/matt.fe...hill_sepia.jpg (for those that don't know, Castle Hill is the turret in the middle-left of the photo) I'll be up there watching, but camera-less due to heading into town for food afterwards. Might be worth some of you other locals having a nosey with your tripods etc though. Matt

I was going to have a nosey at this (Im sure I started a thread in here, and also added it to the calendar), but I don't think there was much interest.

Yeah, it was pretty good. Far better than the one a few weeks back. There were some incredible fireworks. No pictures to show off unfortunately.
Food afterwards was nice though ![]() Matt |

Anyone going to the Blackheath (London) display next weekend?
http://www.londontown.com/LondonEven...rksNight/30b16 Supposed to be one of the biggest in London. There's also the one on the river Thames the following weekend for the Lord Mayors show - they are launched from a barge moored on the river itself so providing you can get a good spot this would be a good one for photo opportunities. http://www.lordmayorsshow.org/otd/ |
