It may be of use to some people (was to me)

It goes into some depth about sharpness and there are other articles about composition etc.

I wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post this so I hope some nice admin-type will move it to the correct place if I'm in error!

An interesting read, but there are some inaccuracies.

He states on page 2 that sharpening is non reversable.
It is if you save the psd file and use layer masks or even sharpening layers
Also, colour fringing and halos can be avoided if you use various simple methods to convert to greyscale during the sharpening process, but I beleive he is going to cover that in subsequent sections.
