Anyone experience with Digital Railroad?
Has anyone ever come into contact with Digital Railroad. I'm strongly considering giving it a whirl but was just wondering if anyone had any advice to give or experience to pass on of it. I am not interested in it just as an archive storage, but am looking at it in more of the marketing and distributing terms!

Re: Anyone experience with Digital Railroad?
I have a contact who has been using DR for a while now, he makes a bit of money from it but I don't think it is as much as he makes from Alamy plus he has thousands of images up there and is full time photo journo so it probably helps him out more in that side of the equation.

Re: Anyone experience with Digital Railroad?
Cheers Gary, I've been looking into it, but have heard similar things to what you mentioned. I may wait until they have launched their Marketplace (which by the sounds of it has been long awaited). I'm hoping this will then be a good small collective with a big distribution (unlike Alamy). I do have images in small collections, but i'm paying almost 50% for the privilege of selling one, and that is what (like everyone else) i would like to avoid, and setting up on my own isn't an option as i could never get the contacts that these guys have already built up (i have often though about it though as i used to live with 3 other pro's and we had a lot of spare images floating about). I figure if i did go for it DDR i'd incorporate their work too and see what we ended up with (may be worth a try for £22 per month 1 sale would break even [less time and effort]).
