Anyone for a meet - North England?

Further to Fiona's thread I'm more than happy to arrange and contribute to a regional meet in this part of the world. This may well fall flat on it's face but if there's interest then we can take it further.

I'm thinking in terms of no more than two hours drive (each way) and if anyone doesnt drive then maybe lifts or pickups at the train station can be arranged. For this part of the world I would suggest we include Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, Durham, Mersey, Manchester. I also appreciate it could take more than two hours for someone to travel from the north, say Carlisle to the Peak District but we've got to start somehow. Maybe you think that's too large an area? To glean some idea of interest can you add a post with name and your suggestions for venues. If we get enough interest I can post a Poll to decide where. Possible dates, we'll worry about later.

Possible venues can include

Lake District
Teesdale
Manchester (city centre & Salford Quays)
Liverpool (docks)
Scarborough/Whitby (coastal)
York (city centre)

If you are including Manchester, make sure to have a look around Salford Quays.

Well, I'm certainly up for something around that area. Spend a fair bit of time in the Peak District anyway, so not a million miles away!

OK - just to summarise we've got interest from ASD, Markulous, PurplePleaser, namllihs, Tigress, Spxxxx and myself. That makes seven which seems a manageable number. Thinking caps on now for places to go.
