Re: Batch adding borders...possible?

For sure in PS. From memory it was based on applying an action (you create for borders) in the batch mode. Hopefully someone else can confirm I'm not talking tosh

Re: Batch adding borders...possible?

I remeber a tutorial on this one one of the coverdiscs on DP last year. Can't remember which one, but probably a late in the year issue.

Re: Batch adding borders...possible?

I use a PS action to add a border to the shots I upload (which also performs a couple of other things as well)

Re: Batch adding borders...possible?

An action is probably the easiest way to do it.

Re: Batch adding borders...possible?

I have a feeling that it is the September DP coverdisc that has this tutorial. If I can find it, I'll confirm.

Re: Batch adding borders...possible?

The simple fact is, ANY action can be batch processed onto a whole load of images if you wish. Given that you can make an action for almost anything, you can batch process most things as well.

The thing that makes batch processing more difficult is actions which require intervention. For example if you have to put in a title for your picture that it is going to put in a fancy font under the image this makes batch processing a much more complicated affair. But if you just want to make a frame that is applied relatively (i.e. adds a border relative to the size of the image rather than a fixed size border) then this can be done very simply.

Cheers,
Rob
