Re: beginner model payment

I was crossing the Nulibore on the Indian Pacific train last year and we had a NZ farmer on the train nice chap

Any way a couple got on the train at cook ( Cook is right in the middle of the Nulibore nothing for miles both ways) any way they were speaking to the Kiwi Farmer and they said they broke down at Nulibore road house and there vintage car was towed to Perth so they caught the train

One of the road house staff drove them to the rail station at cook

Any way little while later the Kiwi farmer asked how is the road house I answered just down the road not far.

he came back a little while later it is just over 100ks away yes I said just down the road

the distances were something he was not use to

Often a new model will accept pictures for their portfolio in lieu of payment and this is quite common in the UK. As they gain experience they can contribute more to a shoot and then can ask for rates that match their experience.

For a new model I would not pay much. If the model has approached you I'd definitely be looking at time for pictures.

Have a look at some of the modelling web sites such as Purpleport (mostly UK), Purestorm or Model Mayhem and you will see what charges models have per hour/half day/full day and clothed/unclothed.

Re: beginner model payment

Models gaining initial experience will often work for a few hours just for some nice photos. On the other hand hiring models from a website can be easy and not that expensive but you may not get what you want. Recently, we worked through a studio who would arrange (hire) a model for us. This worked out rather better as Studio owner was very experienced and used regular models that he knows. On the last occasion the models was more familiar with the studio lighting and props than we were. However, this was in the UK.

Re: beginner model payment

thanks guys, I have done several TFCD with this model. She has mentioned that in future she would like to be paid, she has suggested for clothed portrait fashion $30 NZ a session .Which I feel is not a bad deal.

Re: beginner model payment

paying a model is dependant on what it is worth to you..... TF shoots for a model should really only be done when
A. A model starting up
B. A model likes the idea and the finished shots would benefit her portfolio
C. its a hobby and she isnt expecting to get paid.
d. She isnt actually very good as a model

I would never ever expect a model to do TF if she is taking her clothes off no matter if it was her first or last time. Implied nudity is different but glamour and topless no way anyone deserves some level of recompense for doing that. here i would be looking at anything between 30 - 50 per hour dependind on level of experience. sorry not sure what that works out to in your money.

just under double in $nz , $1nz= 52p but thanks its in line with what I thought,

I agree with you on tfp as well,I found this girl on Charisma Models, But that's another story, most models when contacted do not even reply so that shows you the level of competence there
