Re: best choice of paper for landscape prints

I would say that it depends on the subjects in this case. Normally if you are going to frame your shots (behind glass) I would suggest matt or pearl and if you are free displaying then gloss or pearl depending on subject matter.

If they are going in to a portfolio (at A3 its going to be a big one) then I am assuming that the pictures are going to be protected somehow, possibly behind/in plastic sleeves? and they will add shine to the final shots, maybe pearl would be best for this purpose depending on how shiny your want the finished prints to appear?

Re: best choice of paper for landscape prints

Thank You Steve,

they will be in sleeves in a folder, i like the gloss look but i need one photo to show a lot of contrast(where i think matt may be best)

which paper would be best for this( for behind glass)

Re: best choice of paper for landscape prints

For these sort of shots I'd usually go for a pearl or lustre. Have you tried printing at smaller sizes with the various options to see what looks best?
