Canon "Enjoy DSLR"
Canon has a new section on their Japanese site that is aimed at the beginner. It’s a great site for guiding you through the basics, split into 5 main areas covering things like “ways to shoot”, quick and easy great shots”,”Using camera features” and “printing photos” everyone here including non Canon users may find something of use.

Steve - that's a well set up site. Anyone new to photography could do a lot worse than work their way through it.

Yes I agree, if you dig a bit deeper there is quite a lot of in depth info there as well, some relating exclusively to Canon and some applicable to all

Similar to http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html ? [click on botom left for 25+ tutes for the 300D for example]
