Was out for the first time 2 days ago to take some pics, came back & went to import me images into Capture one four next thing the software crashed, went to start it backup again & it showed 1 blank image with a red cross through it & on the cf card all the images were still there + an icon of Capture 1, contacted Phase one about the problem & gave them a copy of the software, they were very quick & helpfull with their reply & said it could be the cf card reader.Rawshooter the other software ive got isnt showing this problem so i downloaded another Capture 1 to try but the same things still happening

I can't really help but I'm concerned that C1 may write to the card - otherwise how did the icon get there? Does that appear if you just look at the card contents from the OS?

I prefer to copy from the card to a suitable directory using the file manager rather than a downloader.

Assuming you're using Windows, reinstalling C1 over the top of the old one may not help if there are corrupt application files, and you may need to completely uninstall it and start again.

Icon could be there as image may be registered as C1 (but then they'd all have that icon!).

Does C1 write sidecar files to RAW? Were these RAW anyway? And were you opening the files on the card or transferring?

I had something weird happen with Capture One here a while ago........never got to the bottom of it

They were Raw on the file & i was transferring them from the cf card importer to Raw images if thats any help Markolous.

Had that to Ian but my colors werent just as nice [yellow & grey.]
