Hi
Have two things going wrong, when I try to crop a picture I click on the crop tool drag it onto picture .and it only crops half the picture?, the other is the text, I click on the text tool go into horizontal, and set the size of the print and it stays the same even if I have size 10 ore 20?

For the cropping, if you have used a standard crop or previously added values in the width height boxes on the tool bar, it will continue to use that constraint until you set a new value or clear. The Clear button is on the tool bar. I am not sure of your text tool problem as I only use text rarely and have not come across this issue.

Re: CS5 Problem ?

Sounds like you have the crop tool set with specific dimensions. These are in the banner at the top of the screen. If there are numbers in the two boxes delete them and make sure that the crop ratio is set to none - or to put it another way not set to a specific ratio.

Can't help with the text tool as I don't use it.

Do you mean you are trying to resize the text after you have typed it, if so you have to highlight the text first.

Re: CS5 Problem ?

Its not so difficult task to do in Photoshop. To resize it according to your need requires to use the crop tool and then the CTrl+t to make it in fix mode.
