Exchange Camera shop

My friend bought a Nikon D40 but realised he wants an upgrade - it is around 20days old and barely used of course. I was wondering if anyone knows a good shop where you can hand in the camera and upgrade to another camera?

Depends where about in the world your friend is, I use harrisons in Sheffield and they ALWAYS give me a good price when upgrading stuff.

Re: Exchange Camera shop

If its that new why doesn't he just take it back to where he bought it? I'd try that before anything else.

A shop will usually have a clearly defined "return to shop for a refund/exchange" policy. Thereafter they will only return it to the manufacturer if there is a fault. The return to shop period can be 7,14,21 and even 28 days so you need to check what your shop's policy is.

If it's 21 days I'd be on their doorstep first thing in the morning
