Hi - yes ,I did it when I had my 20D and I remember it worked fine. Sorry, that's no help to you. I can only suggest retrying.

Re: EXIF question

From reading the tutorial, does this only work with the camera connected to PC running the "remote software" ?

Re: EXIF question

As of yet I havent had any error messages.

I have my camera connected (canon s3). I went to start> programs> Canon utilities> camera window. I went to 'remote shooting' which is what brings up the 'remote capture' under 'camera' theres a 'camera display settings' that gives 3 options of 'no output, video output and camera LCD monitor. Under 'shooting' my options are timer, release etc.

Now I went to download a few pictures I took the other day and I checked my EXIF file and my name is already there, but only first name. I have no clue how it got there and no clue how to edit it lol.

Re: EXIF question

I currently don't have the software installed but do you not have an option of just 'Camera settings' NOT 'Camera display settings'. From memory after selecting the 'Camera Settings' you then are presented with the options where you can input your name into the Owners field, from there you must take at least one shot then save.

Re: EXIF question

I got it now! lol

In Remote capture I dont have the 'camera settings' option at all.
However, I connected my camera and opened my 'camera window' software, went to 'set to camera (where u can change the start up screens onthe camera / themes etc). In there I had the option 'confirm camera'. When I hit that button the user info box popped up and I could change it

Thank you so much for the help
