Unhappy FIXING AN OLD CLUNKER - Who knows of a repairer?

No, I don't mean me! (although heaven knows I could do with patching up a bit) I'm trying to find a camera repairer from the 'Old School' of camera engineering that can repair vintage cameras like Zeis Ikon Super Ikontas and Ross Ensigns with Epsilon shutters etc. Whilst I enjoy using my EOS gear (digital and film) I also love taking out some of my pre-war roll film cameras and playing with black and white 50 ASA film in them (digital still has a long way to go to beat a 9x6cm 50ASA B&W neg). Problems arising now are that some of my old favourites are in need of shutter servicing and odd ones have shutters that are running very slow or even sticking at the bottom end of the speed range.

Does anyone know where I can send some of my much loved vintage cameras to for servicing and sorting out? Many camera repairers either look at me as if I've lost the plot then try and sell me another digital camera, or just plain don't want to risk fixing a 70 year old camera. There must be someone who knows a retired camera engineer wishing to keep their hand in? Any sugestions would be most welcome please.

Re: FIXING AN OLD CLUNKER - Who knows of a repairer?

This is well out of my area and my search on Google returned very limited results. Out of those THIS LINK was the only one that looked promising. There are a couple of places listed there that may be able to help you.

I am sorry I was unable to find any more information for you
