Flash Card

Hi Guys.
Need some help and or advice please, as I have already posted I have recently bought a Canon EOS10D camara, it came with a 256mb flash card, all seems to work ok.
I thought I would purchase a bigger capasity card, I bought a secondhand Kingston 4GB card, when I tried it in the camara it came up with an error message on the screen, I tried formatting it on the camara twice, could not do anything with it, so inform the guy from who I bought it from, and sent the card back to him.
Had an email last night say he had checked the card, its reading and writing ok, but was in NTFS format, and that he had changed the format to FAT32.
He tells me this should now suit my camara, don't know nothing about what he is saying, can someone please advise.

Re: Flash Card

The 10D is capable of using FAT32 so you should have no problem although I would format in camera as well. Probably the previous owner used the CF card for file storage and was using the NTFS file system.

Re: Flash Card

PS - if I remember rightly the 10D doesn't support cards of more than 4Gb.

Hi Stepheno.
Got the flash card back this morning, have formatted it twice in the camara, and the camara has given it the go, its registered 999 photos, so that should last for a while, have not tried taken photos on it yet, fingers crossed, thanks for the help.
