I get locked into different aspics of "how to and what if" when taking pictures. But when it is all said and done, "there are some really good photographers who post some really great pictures with good know how and when to applied" to their pictures that float by here. You really have to stop and take a second look as they slip past.

Yea one or two that my camera saved for me. I'm talking about some of the members that don't post all that often and when they do, it's a picture that is so good that it takes a practiced eye to really see what just floated by. Do I look for the sutle part of the picture that makes it a good shot, a second look might see. I feel like I'm getting caught up in "it has to catch the eye right off" when the picture is well enough not to have that. It is and maybe something we over look to often and the members don't post back or don't post as often if we noticed. Some members are shy and others like me not so. I would say a renewed effort to look closely and reply to that end with an end that might bring an older or new member back to the fold .

Yea, listen to this one.. I just had gotten ahold of my EFs 10-22mm and the family and relatives were all in town. Off to the St. Louis Arch we went. My mission was to take a picture of the whole end to end scene with one shot. I was sitting at the top of the stairs under the arch as the family group were elsewhere and I spotted a soda stand down below right where I could get a good shot. I bought the soda and noticed that a lot of people were all using little pocket cameras and I was the only SLR. I was nervous, opened my coke and took a drink, then holding my camera I lefted up to look through the viewer and out came my coke all over my shoulder. I tried to make like It didn't happen as everybody watched the big guy with the big SLR take a great shot but spill soda all over himself in one movement.
