Ilford films: HP5 Plus or Delta 400?

What's the difference? Are there significant advantages to one or the other?
The description for the Delta says it gives ISO 100 alike grain, whereas the implication for the HP5 is that it will stand up to less than ideal conditions.

Anyone able to explain (before Meehan sees the thread )?

Thanks,

Jack

Re: Ilford films: HP5 Plus or Delta 400?

Fair enough, but I'm not exactly made of money, and I would like to save myself the processing and printing times if anyone knew of any differences off the cuff....

Re: Ilford films: HP5 Plus or Delta 400?

Hp5 is asa (iso) 400 is it not.

Currently printing from it now, slightly more grain but, sheesh, not much. Adds a cool effect.
