Image + blank in cs3

I AM TRYING TO DO SOME BIRTHDAY INVITES FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER AT THE MOMENT, WITHOUT A LOT OF SUCCESS.

I WANT TO HAVE AN IMAGE AND A BLANK PAGE SIDE BY SIDE, SO THAT I CAN TYPE THE TEXT ON THE BLANK PAGE, THEN WHEN I PRINT IT, THERE WILL BE THE IMAGE AND TEXT SIDE BY SIDE.

I KNOW I HAVE PROBABLY ASKED HOW TO DO THIS BEFORE, BUT I HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO DO IT, SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME AGAIN, HOW I CAN PUT AN IMAGE AND BLANK PAGE SIDE BY SIDE.

MANY THANKS, SORRY TO BE A PAIN

Re: Image + blank in cs3

I think this will work. Not too sure what you mean by image and text side by side.

Open the image

Open a new blank page ( Twice the size you want if it is like a card ?)

Select the image. Do select all. Cut the image.

Paste into the blank page - on the half you want it in. Resize the image to fit after pasting.

Then just type the text on the other side of the blank.

Re: Image + blank in cs3

CHRIS, THANK YOU. AFTER I POSTED IT ON HERE EARLIER, I REMEMBERED HOW TO DO IT.

I OPENED THE IMAGE, THEN INCREASED THE CANVAS SIZE, SO I GOT A BLANK SPACE AT THE SIDE OF THE IMAGE, I THEN TYPED IN MY TEXT, WHICH HAS WORKED.

I WILL TRY YOUR WAY NEXT TIME CHRIS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP.

Re: Image + blank in cs3

Canvas size is how I'd do it - if I had to use Photoshop. I'd almost certainly have used InDesign, maybe Illustrator.
