IR Flash Trigger

Prompted by Dave's thread, I was wondering if I could use something similar to this to trigger my SB800 wirelessly, rather than having to use the on camera flash at low output? It still adds light, and that is annoying, but I can't afford a commander or another good flash, and plus I don't have a D80 or above, so can't use the Nikon CLS.

Thanks

Jack

Re: IR Flash Trigger

Jack, i use the D50 & SB600 with the Cactus setup. I can only seem to get it to work in fully manual on the camera but they do work very well. You don't need line of sight for them to work and you can add more receivers later on if you get more flashguns.
