Hi Guys, I have been reading a little about the above converter, I was wandering if anyone uses one?
I have the following lenses and wandered if the converter would fit/be of benefit for macro shooting and birds/wildlife?
Lenses I have at the moment: Nikkor 18-200mm VR
Nikkor 70-300mm VR
and a Nikon 50mm 1.8D AF, due to arrive on Monday hopefully. I have, D40 and
D300 bodies.

I have one and as far as I can tell it's as good as the Nikon one but a little smaller. It will help a little with macro work using the 50mm and for birding with the 70-300VR. I have a 70-300VR and having just tried the combination I think it will be tricky it does just AF in good light but it won't be anywhere good enough for wildlife and the image is a bit dark to manually focus reliably.

Thanks, Vinny, seems not many members on here have used one? I will see how my 50mm performs or how I perform with it for macros before deciding if I should buy or go converter or prime lenses. For birds I'l use my 70-300mm until I decide?

I have the Canon version of the Kenko DG Pro 1.4x and I like to use it with my 100 - 400 for moon shots, makes a big difference and apparently no problems with aberations of any kind.

I'm going to try it for wildlife and birding this year
