Lens Hire

My youngest son is getting married in May and I thought I would hire a Good lens for my A77, there are not many hire places for sony lenses but I found one that does a Carl Zeiss 24-70mm f2.8 SSM for 60 per week would this be all right for a wedding and does anybody have any suggestion for any hire companies they have used
Cheers
Mick

Re: Lens Hire

My only concern would be that if you were not planning on using another lens, the 24mm at the short end is not very wide on a crop factor body. It will only give a 'normal' human perspective without the wide view we get from having two eyes.

This might not matter to you, but maybe you should consider a lens that covers a wider angle if you will be using the camera in tight situations. My Nikkor 17-55 is a superb lens on my D300 and perhaps there is a similar one available for the Sony.

Re: Lens Hire

You could try the Carl Zeiss 16-80 (sal1680z). It's built for APSC cameras so it should work OK on your A77.
