London Camera shops?

I want have a look and a play with some cameras whilst I decide what digi cam to buy next, I want to play with the G5, s80 and s70 currently. "camera shops" I can find in Oxford are rubbish the assistants can just about tell me what coulor the body is but ask how many mega pixels there are and they go cross eyed  .

I'd assume London has some decent ones can anyone recomend a shop or even an area where said shops might be found in central london as I'm visiting mates in the big smoke this weekend so will try to kill two birds as it were.

Jacobs at the end of New Oxford Street [Bloosmbury/British Musuem end]. Jessops are opposite and 5 mins away is Tottenham Court Road with a fair few electrical retailers

Tottenham Court Road is probably your best bet for electronics

hmmm oxford maybe . sorry but if you picked up on a 5 instead of a 6 the mention of city shouldn't have slipped by you
as for camera shops round here they're probably around somewhere just have hadn't the time to look properly. I found two jessops that are about as big as a passport photo booth and a shop that seems to believe the only camera manufacturer is fuji

probably walked right by one on my way to

Sorry bit too much gin, vodka and mr. erlot tonight. ie-eyed smiley:

I hate to say this but I've always found the smaller jessops stores to be wel helpful. They've always been most obliging in ordering stuff in for me to try, only for me to order it from somewhere else cheaper than they would price match!

Sorry, probs not much help reading your OP ;(
