Minimising Reflections
I am trying to take a picture of a small, round object.
The problem I have is that it reflects the whole room, due to it's shape.. I can't go into too much detail as the pic is for the OCUK competition and I don't want someone else to pinch the idea ![]() The setup at the moment is that I have the object in a soft light box (see HERE). It is currently reflecting the inside of the box, me taking the picture, the flash and the room behind/around me.. What can I do/use to minimise this or is there any post-processing I could use??? Thanks Chez |

I think you could use a little selective blurring. A while back i took a few pics of my bruv's new Mini and I blurred [lasso to select then gaussian blur] the gearstick a bit to remove me from the pic:

I think I'm going to have to find a dark, empty room and put one light carefully pointed at it, then put the camera on timer and run (or alternatively dress as the milk tray man and take the pic myself manually)...
Thanks for the help guys - I will try the blur if all else fails (a very rough test I just did shows that it MIGHT work... I don;t think the tent is helping things - the light colours reflect a lot... |
