A Moving Question

The movie function on my EOS Camera has got me interested in recording movies of wild life particularly birds. Has anyone any thoughts on the newly introduced Sony DEV-5 Digital Recording Binoculars. They have image stabilized 20X magnification and 7.5 Mp stills, not to mention 3D possibilities.

The new DEV-5 and DEV-3 digital recording binoculars from Sony are available from the beginning of November 2011.
I doubt that there are many/any people in the UK that have tried them. They might be in the Sony Centres so that people can try them out.

Re: A Moving Question

Thank you Stepheno.

Thank you Dabhand. I rang the Sony Centre in Lincoln and they haven't any in yet, however, they have taken one pre delivery order.

I have discovered that they are quiet heavy about 3.6 lbf without batteries. But that is no worse than my 5D2 + 400 mm lens + binoculars. What I really need to know about is image quality.

John
