Well here I sit among boxes, bodies, batteries, books, cables, cd's, chargers, filters, bags and tags going MAAAAAAMA !!!

I got the Canon 40D. It came with a EF 28-135mm as a kit. Then I bought a 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM and a EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 lll.

I need a asprin.

AQ, thank you for the info about the manual. I can see now that would be a great idea for me to do. That's some itty bitty print in there.

I did manage to get the time and date set last night. There are some other start up issues I haven't decyphered yet. I am going to try to resolve it by myself first before I cry for help.

They did give me the wrong lense for my 300mm , I wanted 300mm with the image stablizer, and two of the lense filters were the wrong size also. Too small. Have to return those items then I will be happy. For a while. Hummmmmmmmmm? Wonder what else will need to come home with me then?

Everything I bought was either on sale or had just been discounted so all in all I guess I did on.

Vinny ! I think you outspent me by a long shot. Wow. Congratulations and have fun.

Sorry everything didn't arrive as you wanted it Nancy (I'm sure you'll get the correct items soon) but congrats on all the new kit, the 40D is an excellent bit of kit that will do you for a good while yet.

Nancy, sounds like you're going to be having a lot of fun. Tip put the manuels somewhere safe then go play with your new toys much much more than reading first
