Re: Nikon d700 body Flash card?

Memory is very cheap nowdays so stick to the main makers and don't buy from e-bay.

I use Sandisc and Lexar, mostly 4GB and a couple of 8GB. I tend to buy when there is an offer on - I got my last 8Gb Lexar card from My Memory for about £13! I also use 7 day shop and Picstop. IIRC My Memory have free delivery.

Re: Nikon d700 body Flash card?

Good advice from Graham. I once did a survey at my Camera Club and asked members who had had a failed Memory card. All of those who had failed cards had bought cheap brands or from dodgy sources. None of those using Lexar or Sandisk had a failure. At any one time there tends to be a size which gives you the most memory for your money. This size goes up as larger memory sizes become cheaper. I suspect that 16 or 32 GByte may be best value now.

Re: Nikon d700 body Flash card?

I tend to use any old make, 4/8GB, and have never had any fail yet - but could probably do with updating one or two as they tend to be rather slow (though dislike burst so rarely notice)

Re: Nikon d700 body Flash card?

I always stick to a couple of Sandisc 8gb cards then I am never tempted to store hundreds of pictures on them! they were just right when I had my D700..... every couple of years I replace them,or sooner if I see a bargain....
