Photography and exercise
I've always thought that landscape shooting is pretty healthy stuff; up at the crack of dawn trekking with heavy kit and bulky tripods fresh air etc. But I never though that about weddings shooters.
I don't do weddings in fact I seriously considered my photography business name being ABW (Anything but weddings) But there is one thing I fear more than weddings and she very kindly got me a gig for this weekend for a colleague of hers. Now the point of my post is that I have a pedometer (Not because I am an anorak but it helps me get free private medical cover) Just dong one wedding and the incidental walking around during the day and I had walked over 12 miles. All this carrying too much kit (Apparently just because she has just had major surgery Lulu can't carry anything LAZY!!) Add to that spending half the day kneeling and crouching and I feel like I had a good workout. So hats off to you wedding togs you are not skinny because of the credit crunch and competition it's all the exercise. Last edited by VinnyP; 30-06-2008 at 21:46. |

Re: Photography and exercise
The best way to clock up more miles with a pedometer is to take shorter steps.
![]() Stamping your foot helps too.

Re: Photography and exercise
Trying to get the story straight Vinny ... Did Lulu get married? Are you talking about "the" Lulu or another one? What was it that you had to carry around for Lulu? Despite reading your post several times, I could not work out what the one thing was more than weddings that you fear? (Lulu perhaps?) ![]() Think I'll get me one of those pedometers, do a lot of stamping-of-feet, then feel good about having done a whole lot of exercise
