Posting & size.
Hi guys, i need a bit of info before getting a lens, first of all when ordering from Hong Kong they say that they can cover expenses by saying it is a gift ect.....,but if thats not the case how do you go about claiming for the expence & then send it back to the dealer so he can compensate you with amount extra that it might cost [if that sounds right], I know i have to get a 77mm ring to go with the cokin p seris so i can still use all my filters but is this ok or does it cause problems because of the size, also iam gonna get a circular polarizer 77mm but not to sure what step down ring to use so i can still use it with my other 2 lenses 62mm & 67mm if thats right.

Re: Posting & size.
On the one-stop web site there are instruction as to what to do if you are charged VAT to get the refund.
I got a step-down from 77mm to 62 from SRB for about £5. To go from 77 to 67 I think might be dearer as it is a less common size. |

Re: Posting & size.
No - 77 is quite common. Bit like me really. If you have a look at/download/send off for an SRB catalogue, there are loads of tips about using and maintaining filteres and more.
Some people advocate applying a soft pencil to the threads to help prevent sticking. In any event a pair of filter wrenches is probably a good thing to have in case you do encounter any sticking problems. |
