Printing more than one per page

I am sure you will all be very happy when I am back to work (That man flu ) and stop posting but here is another query.

We are trying to print out several copies of one photo and cannot find how to fit several on one sheet, printing from Elements6. Insists on one per sheet. Big waste of paper.

Re: Printing more than one per page

In CS3 there are some templates for various layouts - either in the file or edit menu, I think and probably a sub menu from one on there too. Don't know if Elements has this or not.

Re: Printing more than one per page

If you have Windows just select the photo or photos you want to print and either right click and print or select print from the top left drop down, then choose from the available layouts after changing your printing preferences and before you print

Cheers Dabhand. Will investigate.

As always you are quick off the mark with an answer.

Re: Printing more than one per page

You could always dowload Picasa. that program has a print menu with different templates so you can print the same or different pictures on the same sheet.
Ps it free

Re: Printing more than one per page

In CS3 it is file>automate>picture package. You then have an editor to arrange the page as you want.

Re: Printing more than one per page

Cheers all. Spirited the problem with windows printing is that it sets the sizes. We want to set our own size to fit the customers request. Usually get professionally printed but this is a one off.

Try QImage. It's not free but there is a trial period. It's a superb printing program that lets you configure the layout and loads of other options.

Re: Printing more than one per page

Roger

At work at moment and only have Elements 2, but in this version you can use "Print Layout" and then "Picture Package" which I would imagine is still on version 6.

Hope this helps

Re: Printing more than one per page

Hi Silkstone
Have downloaded the programme, but need more time to get my head around it, as the original was cropped - and need to deliver the photographs asap. However - will pursue it further within the 30 day trial - cheers for the link

Re: Printing more than one per page

Hi Dabhand
Thanks for the CS3 suggestion - it gives me far more options than elements 6 - which I've always stuck to - brilliant - cheers

Re: Printing more than one per page

BOTH Lightroom and Aperture have multi print / page options. I regularly use the Lightroom option because you can build the pages from the Library, rejecting those you don't want. The Aperture 'Build a Book' option is much more versatile, allowing pages to be formatted with different image sizes and text can be placed where and how you like. But it takes much more time.
