Unhappy Printing RAW thumbnails

Hi, for my school projects i have to print off thumbnails of all my original photos and annotate them, this is usually about 600 + thumbnails,

at the moment i have to put all the images in a folder, separate them into folders of less than 200 images else photoshop crashes, and then get photoshop to mass convert all the raw files to tiny jpegs which takes ages and can only do 200 at a time.
and then i have to use hp premium software thing to print off thumnails which always print too big, and windows print wizard doesn't work either because it keeps telling me there is not enough memory to process this command: try again, cancel etc. even though i have 2gb ram, perhaps the photos are too big.

sorry that was so long, but basically does anybody have an easier method that they use?

Re: Printing RAW thumbnails

Try this....

FastStone Image Viewer - Powerful and Intuitive Photo Viewer, Editor and Batch Converter

One of the features is 'Create fully configurable contact sheets' - which I think is what you need.

Cool Re: Printing RAW thumbnails

thankyou thankyou thankyou!
yes this works great, nice and simple!
and it's doubly good as i can put their portable version on my memory stick and use it at school, as my school is still running on photoshop essential or something so cant edit raws, so i have to convert all my photos to jpeg if i want to do any work at school.

cheers!

Re: Printing RAW thumbnails

Pleasure!

You can use the Faststone viewer as a front-end browser for any editing application, and set up a hotkey to open the file in the editor. Also there are some neat cropping and resizing features built into it, plus basic editing functions.
