Post Royal Photography Protocol

I there again, just come back after moving home, not been on since May, but I have been given the job of doing some Page Ranking work, One of the jobs is Photographing a member of the Royal Family amongst other guests at a function, shaking hands that sort of thing, I know nothing of The photographers role, where Royal Protocol is concerned, as anyone been through this type of job?, any help would be great, i am not sure if an order for the work will be given, meeting other guests etc, but if have been given the job, as far as i know, there will only be me at the event, the images will be on the customers website, im wondering how many shots to take, before i become a nuisance under these conditions..
Cheers, Pete H

Re: Royal Photography Protocol

I do not have any firsthand knowledge of this. However, I would have thought that most (or all) Royals who undertake public duties have a secretary who deal with such arrangements and would be glad to advise you. The secretary may be there on the day and could be a great help in facilitating the shoot. Remember they want you to get some good shots so are likely to be keen to help. Best of luck!
