Yesterday my wife and I had been out and were traveling home westbound on the M621 out of Leeds - fairly busy. It was about 4pm and the beginning of a beautiful sunset so my wife decided to take a photo of it. Out comes her IXUX 960 and... being that she only ever uses Auto takes the shot with FLASH .

The inside car immediately pulled over and three cars in front of us started braking. I hunched down in my seat and put my foot down. I wonder if they are still waiting for the speeding summons

I would certainly slow down if I saw a lady flashing.

Someone once told me that a Gatzo in the Northampton area was being serviced and the techie had to keep firing the flash to check it. The story goes that the local pollis were beseiged by little old ladies and vicars complaining that they'd been snapped when they'd never done over thirty in their lives...

As I regularly stand by roadsides snapping cyclists, you can often see cars in the distance throwing the anchor out when they spot 'someone with a speed gun' . Whipspeed will know what this is like.

In fact I don't put a hi vis vest on because muppet motorists have been known to panic and I really don't want them piling in to a fellow cyclists.
