Saving to a disc.

My Sister makes cards and would like to use a few of my images on them.......she has asked me to edit some and save to a disc and she will then print them out herself.

So should I save as big as possible? Save as a JPEG or TIFF?........they will be going on a card that is approx A4 size folded in half.

Er and I won't be receiving any money.....she says she's family

Re: Saving to a disc.

Just save as the best quality jpg - should do the trick. She won't need 24mgb tiff

Re: Saving to a disc.

LOL! Save as whichever, prob JPG (fine for A5) and use approx A5 @ 300dpi (depending on printer, but 300dpi is good all rounder!)

(must reply quicker, type faster)

Re: Saving to a disc.

I went to Kinko's one time for my Daughter and gave them Hi res jpegs, 300 dpi,,they printed 14X11, the laser paper looked soaked when I got them, they looked good and were dry, but I thought I would confuse you alittle more, I think they would print really good at 300 dpi for laser jet. I think lasers are like lawn mowers, they only work when you use them. Am I helping yet.

Re: Saving to a disc.

FWIW - I've just done a test for you. I've printed an image from my gallery - that is low res and under 200k on the laser printer in my office, and it turned out surprisingly well. It is an HP colour laserjet 4600 series.
